A new partnership brewing between Moosehead and Speed Skating Canada

Canadian speed skating fans can enjoy Moosehead products at international events in Montreal this season

OTTAWA, ONTARIO – Speed Skating Canada and Moosehead Breweries announce a partnership today that will see the country’s oldest and largest independent brewery provide fans of Canada’s most successful Olympic sport with ice cold beverages throughout the 2025-26 season.

Established in 1867, Moosehead is the last major brewery in Canada still owned by Canadians. The New Brunswick based company, best known for their iconic Moosehead Canadian Lager, has a diverse product line that also includes Moosehead Light, Chelada, Limeade and Radler, as well as notable brews from brands such as Cracked Canoe, James Ready and Alpine Lager.

Canadian speed skating fans can enjoy ice cold Moosehead products at international competitions hosted in Canada this season, including the ISU Short Track World Tour and ISU Short Track World Championships in Montreal.

In addition to finding beer at concessions stands through the rink, Moosehead’s distinctly Canadian logo can be found at ice level, in the very spot where Canadian skaters are known to celebrate their on-ice success with coaches and teammates.

Grab your tickets and join us for edge-of-your seat action this weekend in Montreal, as the Ice Maples look to continue their winning ways on home ice at Maurice Richard arena. Visit www.speedskating.ca/tickets for more information on all upcoming events.

About Speed Skating Canada

Speed Skating Canada is the national governing body responsible for the organization, coordination and administration of both short track and long track speed skating in Canada. Founded in 1887, we proudly represent over 14,500 athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers from coast to coast. Our non-profit organization is accountable to our 13 provincial and territorial speed skating organizations (PTSOs) and our national team program. We’re here to rally, inspire and lead the charge for our country’s most successful Olympic sport.

About Moosehead Breweries

Moosehead has been led by the Oland family since 1867, making us the last major brewery in Canada that is still owned by Canadians. Our 158-year history is as rich as the flavour of our beer. Today, we exist to reawaken and reward the courage to go after what’s difficult because we know that obstacles are just opportunities to show the world what you’re capable of.
