Claudia Gagnon

BIOGRAPHY

Claudia Gagnon joined the short track national team in 2018 and has been an integral part of the women’s relay squad ever since.

Gagnon won a historic gold in the women’s relay alongside fellow national team skaters Courtney Sarault, Danaé Blais and Alyson Charles at her only World Junior Championship appearance in 2018.

Born in the Saguenay region of Quebec, a hotbed for short track speed skating, Gagnon qualified for the first World Cups of her career the following season and has gone on to help Canada win five relay medals, including one of the country’s first ever in the mixed gender relay. She also took part in the Four Continents Championships in 2019, earning a silver medal alongside the women’s relay team.
