The 2022 ISU World Short Track Championships and Speed Skating Canada staff member Jill Lynch were both recognized during Sport Tourism Canada’s annual PRESTIGE Awards.
Canadians in four different cities will get the chance to watch the country’s top speed skaters in action during the 2023-24 season, as the International Skating Union announced its World Cup and Championship calendar on Wednesday.
The Canadian short track team won three bronze medals on the final day of ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships action in Seoul, as Steven Dubois, Courtney Sarault and the women’s 3000m relay team all reached the podium.
Canada captured three medals during an eventful Saturday evening at the ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships in Seoul. Steven Dubois won silver in the men’s 500m, while Pascal Dion and Kim Boutin both won bronze in their respective 1500m races.
Ten Canadians will lace up their skates for the season’s final international competition, lining up against the world’s best at the ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships, which gets underway later this week in Seoul, South Korea.
