Canada took home not one but two medals in the 3000-metre event in women’s speed skating Monday at the FISU World University Games.

David La Rue won Canada’s second medal on Sunday at the 2023 FISU World University Games. The Laval University student placed third to win the bronze medal in the men’s 1,000m long track speed skating event at the Lake Placid Olympic Oval.

Speed Skating Canada announces today the provisional composition of its team for the ISU World Junior Speed Skating Championships, which will take place from February 10-12 in Inzell, Germany.
