Event Description

The Canadian Short Track Championships presented by Intact Insurance features the country’s top 20 skaters per gender category vying to be crowned the overall national champion. The results from this competition are used to help select the team that will represent Canada on the ISU World Tour and at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milano-Cortina. Skaters also accumulate points towards the Canadian Rankings, which are used to select the National and NextGen teams for the following season.

On-Site Communication

  • The Sportity App will be used to share information throughout the weekend. Please download the app and use the password SSC-ST-COMP-2526 to receive the most up-to-date information.

Accommodations

  • The group code SKATING can be used for preferred rates. The code can only be used when booking by phone at 514-253-3365 or 1 (800) 567-0223, or by email at info@hoteluniverselmontreal.com. The code cannot be used online through the website.

    • Air Canada is offering a 5% to 10% discount off base fare cost (excluding taxes). Discount amount is based on ticket class selected.
    • Discount is applicable for flights in and out of the host communities up to 7 days before the start of the competition and up to 7 days after the end of the competition.
    • Discount can be used on flights from Air Canada, Air Canada Express and Air Canada Rouge. Discount also applies to Air Canada 4-digit flights operated by Air Canada’s regional partners and Star Alliance carriers.
 

Tickets

Tickets for the Canadian Short Track Championships are available for $10.00 per day or $35.00 for a 5 day pass. Kids under 12 years old are free.
