Event Description

The Long Track Canada Cup 1 features the country’s top long track skaters and is used to crown individual distance medalists. The results from this competition are used to select the team that will represent Canada on the ISU World Cup circuit for the second half of the season, as well for other targeted international competitions. Skaters also accumulate points towards the Canadian Rankings, which are used to help select the athletes nominated to the National and NextGen teams for following season.

        • Air Canada is offering a 5% to 10% discount on the base fare (excluding taxes). The discount amount is based on the ticket class selected.
          The discount is applicable for flights to and from the host communities up to 4 days before the start of the competition and up to 4 days after the end of the competition.
          The discount can be used on Air Canada, Air Canada Express and Air Canada Rouge flights. The discount also applies to Air Canada 4-digit flights operated by Air Canada regional partners and Star Alliance carriers.

Training

  • During CEGB hours, athletes must go to the counter to pay the appropriate fee:
    Monday, December 29: 3:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
    Tuesday, December 30: 8:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. & 3:45 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
    Wednesday, December 31: 8:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.

Fees per day:

  • National Team athletes or registered athletes at the National training centres (Quebec, Montreal, Calgary) = no cost
  • Athletes 21 and under with their own coach = $20
  • Athletes 22 and over with their own coach = $27
  • All others = $40
