Eight Canadians at the annual Apolo Ohno Invitational Short Track Speed Skating competition in Salt Lake City

Canada will be represented by eight skaters at the second annual Apolo Ohno Invitational short track speed skating competition to be held Friday, November 13, at 6:15 pm (Montreal Time) at the Utah Olympic Oval in Salt Lake City, U.S.A.

This competition will see athletes from China, Netherlands, Canada and the U.S.A fighting for a spot in the top three positions of each distance, and for the prize money that goes with it.

All the quarterfinals, semi-finals and finals in the three distances (500m, 1000m and women and men relays) will be held in one evening. The event is not part of the ISU international calendar.

The next ISU World Cups Short Track Speed Skating will be held December 4-6 in Nagoya, Japan; December 11-13 in Shanghai, China; February 5-7 in Dresden, Germany; and February 12-14 in Dordrecht, Netherlands.
