Coordinator, High Performance (Long Track)

Job Description: Coordinator, High Performance (Long Track)

Reporting to the Manager, High Performance, Long Track, the successful candidate will play a critical role in achieving Speed Skating Canada’s strategic business priorities as they relate to elevating the profile of one of the country’s elite sports on the road towards the 2022 Olympic Games through the organization and execution of world-class domestic and international events.

Primary work location is based at the National Team Training Centre in Calgary, Alberta. Regular travel to events in Calgary, Montreal and Quebec City, as well as regular weekend work, will be required.

Assistant Coach, National Program (Long Track)

Job Description: Assistant Coach, National Program (Long Track)

Reporting to the Chief Sport Officer, the Assistant Coach will support the National and NextGen Long Track Team in the planning, coaching, monitoring and evaluation of athletes. The Assistant Coach will support the vision of our coaches by monitoring and analyzing data, preparing equipment, helping to develop training plans, and providing onsite assistance to athletes as needed.

This is a part-time role, with the possibility of becoming full-time in the future based on performance and program capacity.

Assistant Coach, National Program (Short Track)

Job Description: Assistant Coach, National Program (Short Track)

Reporting to the Director, High Performance Short Track, the Assistant Coach collaborates with other National Program and development program (NextGen, RTC, CRCE) coaches as well as the Integrated Support Team (IST) in planning, coaching, monitoring, and evaluating athletes.

The Assistant Coach, National Program (Short Track) will work at the Short Track National Training Centre in Montréal, Quebec. Regular work on weekends will be required to support athletes’ training and to participate in competitions. The successful candidate will be asked to occasionally travel to aid in training camps and international competitions.
