Marc Gagnon to be Inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame

Marc Gagnon, along with four other athletes and two builders, is to be inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame at a gala dinner November 5 in Toronto. After being recognized by Speed Skating Canada and the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame, this is one more honour for the short track speed skater who marked the history of the sport between 1993 and 2002. His five carreer Olympic medals (three gold and two bronze) is the most won by a Canadian male athlete in Winter Olympic history, and the second most in Canadian sports.

Canada's Sports Hall of Fame recognizes and honours Canada's sports heroes. It is the Hall's mission to inspire Canadian identity and national pride by telling the compelling stories of those outstanding achievements that make up Canada's sports history. The addition of these athletes and builders brings the total number of Honoured Members in Canada's Sports Hall of Fame to 499.
