Pelliot named official clothing partner for Canada’s national speed skating teams

Canadian athletes will debut Pelliot clothing and podium wear starting at the Canadian Championships this month

OTTAWA, ONTARIO – Speed Skating Canada is proud to announce a new, four-year partnership with outdoor lifestyle brand Pelliot to outfit Canada’s national short track and long track teams with technical garments and off-ice apparel.

Founded in 2012, Pelliot is recognised as a leader in China’s outdoor sector, combining design innovation with advanced technology platforms. The brand supports elite athletes and expeditions worldwide and has a strong commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, including partnerships with leading universities and foundations in China.

Pelliot will supply high-performance training gear and podium wear to Canada’s national program athletes and staff, ensuring they are equipped with functional, innovative apparel for use across World Tour, World Cup and World Championship events, through the 2030 Olympic Winter Games in the French Alps. The company will also leverage the technical expertise of global industry leaders to create Canada’s new racing suits.

“Speed Skating Canada is excited to welcome Pelliot as the official clothing partner of Canada’s national speed skating teams. Our athletes and staff need apparel that performs at the highest level — from training and travel to competition for the podium. This partnership will harness Pelliot’s global expertise to ensure our short track and long track programs continue to benefit from world-class clothing technology as we build toward 2030.”

Joe Morissette, Chief Executive Officer, Speed Skating Canada

This newly announced partnership brings Canada’s most successful Olympic sport in under the Pelliot umbrella. With a combined 89 Olympic medals – 47 in long track and 42 in short track – and well over 350 World Championship podiums, Canadians have long held a place among the world’s elite. Speed Skating Canada has also built a reputation as a trusted event host in recent years, partnering with the International Skating Union (ISU) to welcome 18 international competitions to Canada over the last Olympic quadrennial, twice as many as any other country.

This deal expands Pelliot’s footprint in the skating community. The global sportswear leader was named the official apparel provider of the ISU in September 2025, providing high-quality gear and uniforms for officials, staff and volunteers across all four skating disciplines.

“PELLIOT is proud to partner with Speed Skating Canada, one of the world’s most decorated speed skating nations. As a brand born in China with a global vision, we share the same pursuit of excellence and the relentless spirit that drives Canadian athletes to the podium. This partnership marks another important milestone in our journey from the world’s highest peaks to the global stage of winter sports. We are committed to equipping Team Canada with innovative, high-performance apparel that supports their pursuit of Olympic glory, and we look forward to growing the sport together with the passionate speed skating community in Canada.”

Canadian speed skating fans will have the opportunity to see the new designs in action on home ice during five international events being hosted in Canada during the 2026-27 season, including ISU Short Track World Tour stops in Vancouver and Montreal this fall, as well as an ISU World Cup Speed Skating stop in Calgary next February.
