Registration now open for inaugural SSC Speed Summit in Kelowna

Early Bird pricing for Speed Skating Canada’s professional development conference in effect until April 21

Speed Skating Canada is excited to announce that registration is now open for the organization’s inaugural Speed Summit, a professional development conference that will take place from June 8-10 in beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia.

Members of the Canadian speed skating community will gather in the Okanagan for this new multidisciplinary conference that will feature interactive and educational workshops on a variety of technical, administrative and governance topics, as well as social activities to encourage networking and relationship development. Speed Skating Canada’s 136th Annual General Meeting of the membership will also take place alongside the Speed Summit.

Attendees will have the unique experience of learning from leaders within our sport. Presenters will include Olympian Nathalie Lambert, mental health specialist Dr. Shaunna Taylor, National Team coaches in both short track and long track, and many more.

Workshops

Speed Summit’s targeted streams of interactive workshops for administrators, coaches and officials will provide professional development and learning opportunities for participants throughout our community.  A few of the workshops include an on-ice learning component, so be sure to bring your skates!
