Candidates can apply before June 1 for one of two open Director positions up for election during September 2026 meeting

OTTAWA, ONTARIO – Speed Skating Canada – the national governing body for Canada’s most successful Olympic sport – is seeking passionate, skilled, and community-driven leaders to join its Board of Directors ahead of its Annual General Meeting in September 2026.

The organization is looking for individuals with diverse experiences, perspectives, and expertise to help guide the organization as we work to fulfill our mission and drive the continued growth of speed skating across the country. Board Members will play a key role in advancing the continued growth and development of Speed Skating Canada in alignment with our 2023-2027 Strategic Plan, and will also help strengthen relationships across the Canadian speed skating community.

The following roles are expected to be available for election during Speed Skating Canada’s 139th Annual General Meeting and Congress, which will take place in September 2026.

The document also outlines the key skill sets the Nominations Committee prioritizing this election cycle due to their strategic importance in supporting SSC’s continued growth and operational excellence.

To be considered for one of the available positions, candidates must complete the Nomination Form and submit a copy of their resumé or biography before the deadline of June 1, 2026.
