Coverage begins with this weekend’s World Cup in Montreal
OTTAWA, ONTARIO – With the start of international short track season just around the corner, Speed Skating Canada is happy to announce that CBC Sports and Radio-Canada Sports will provide fans across the country with live streaming and broadcast coverage of both ISU World Cup Short Track events in Montreal, as well as the ISU Four Continents Short Track Championships in Laval.
Fans will have the option to watch races live in both English and French on a variety of digital platforms, including CBCSports.ca, Radio-Canada.ca/Sports, and on the CBC Gem and CBC Sports apps. In addition to live streaming, CBC and ICI Télé will also broadcast select competition days nationally across their television networks.
Olympians Michael Gilday (English) and Marianne St-Gelais (French) will help bring the action to life alongside longtime play-by-play commentators Signa Butler and Michel Chabot, respectively. Both CBC Sports and Radio-Canada Sports will also be on-site at the arena to capture post-race reactions from Canadian skaters as they fight for a medal on home ice.
If you’re in the Greater Montreal area, don’t miss your chance to cheer on the country’s top skaters as they look to bring home some hardware! Tickets are still available for all three international events, with discounted prices of $9.95 for kids and $24.95 for adults valid until Wednesday at midnight. Visit courtepiste.ca for more information.
