Canada’s top long track speed skaters will hit the ice at the Calgary Olympic Oval from February 15-18, as the city welcomes the ISU World Speed Skating Championships to town for the first time since 1998.

Canada left their mark on the final day of racing at the ISU World Junior Speed Skating Championships in Japan by bringing home four medals, including a historic gold in the men’s Team Pursuit and a first ever medal in the women’s Team Sprint.
Speed Skating Canada is partnering with FILA, one of the world’s most renowned premium lifestyle sports brands, to outfit Canada’s national short track and long track teams with on-ice technical garments and off-ice apparel for the next four years.
Valérie Maltais, Ivanie Blondin and Laurent Dubreuil capped off a successful ISU World Cup Speed Skating in Quebec City by reaching the overall World Cup podium in their respective distances at the Centre de glaces Intact Assurance on Sunday.
